The highlight of my experience was gaining the diverse knowledge of several different places. Feeling comfortable interacting anyone, anywhere we go. I’m happy with the flexibility of the trip as well.
The highlight of my trip was experiencing Brazilian culture and the way business is done at certain companies. I enjoyed the opportunity to network with others, I have gained more friendships. ASID, Volvo, Escola Nilza and BNDES are a plus in my book
Overall the company visits and cultural experiences exceeded my expectations. I certainly appreciate the support, connections you have, ideas and communication. Beforehand during the planning stage and during the visit.
The high point of my experience was São Miguel! Meeting a great community and experiencing hands on how they live and the crawling story from our story sharing experience in the ocean.
Having an exchange student is very rewarding, you can exchange rich experiences, have fun and learn. Share your space with someone unknown may seem odd at first, but this relationship of friendship, which happens along, makes it natural and lasting. It’s great to contribute to the knowledge of someone and this experience, it is rewarding for everyone. We loved having Felix in our house and I’m sure he will have good memories of the times we spent together. He left a little bit of Australia here in my house and his also taking with him a little bit of warmth, of fun and good humor from Brazil.
Having lovely Alice hosted in our home was very special! It was always possible to understand each other even with the challenge of the language and complicated dialogues. A sweet girl and very strong. A daughter of the heart, forever! I hope that the experience was so fruitful and happy for her as it was for us. I hope she carries from Brazil the best of what she saw here, because the best from Australia she showed us with her education and respect. We are immensely grateful for the opportunity that, without leaving Brazil, we could learn a lot about how good it is to live with another culture. And I must say how beautiful was the card she left, ‘MY FAMILY’, that´s how she started… Thank you!
Daniel is leaving and we are getting sad… I have been feeling it already. It was a wonderful experience to have him here. He is dear friend, a great son, brother and an excellent man. He is a rare human being, but that’s life, right? Our children need to have wings and leave the nest (laughs). I’m getting ready for that… We were concerned before his arrival: a lot of expectations, so many doubts… And now we are sad because our dear friend is leaving! But as you know, he´ll be back at the end of the year for the wedding, a sign that the friendship is really sincere. And again, he will be welcome!
Host an exchange student was a very good experience and showed us that, regardless of culture and the country, the basic values such as education, respect and collaboration are the key to a pleasant coexistence. I was lucky to have chosen Catherine, because it created a friendship between us three. She left ‘saudade’. My daughter also liked it and realized that speaking English is very important.
For us it was very special, because we got to know a wonderful person that became part of our family. We have gained a daughter and a new sister for our children. The communication was perfect because she speaks Spanish and it helped a lot. We got to know a person from a different culture, with different habits that could adapt very well to our reality and to our family. I can say that we also participated of an exchange program without even leaving home.
This experience, with no doubt, has been quite enriching to me. I feel like a “mother” to Isabella all the time. And this is very rewarding.
Isabella gave me beautiful flowers for Mother’s Day. I was so happy and emotionally touched.
Dear Be, you have forever changed my life and will forever be a part of my heart and soul! More than anything I want to come back to Brazil to live and to work! Thank you so much and please do not lose touch with us! In such a short time you have helped me fall in love with this country. I miss you all! The colors in life look more brilliant and beautiful than they ever have before thank to you! My life is forever more vibrant thanks to you and this amazing experience! I will hold on to these memories forever! Thank you for the bottom depths of my heart and soul!
Wow, what an experience! Traveling to Brazil has been the time of my life. This is a trip of a lifetime, one I will never forget. I will carry these memories with me forever. Thank you Brazilian Experience!
Going to the island was my favorite part. They were all so loving and welcoming. And I loved how we had time to play with the kids.
Where do I even start? The minute I made eye contact with the staff, after stepping off the plane, was pure happiness! The experience I had with this company was well, beyond words. I truly cannot thank you guys enough! This experience was mind blowing and one I hope to never forget! Thank you so much!
Going into the village (São Miguel) was an experience I’ll never forget! Comming to Brazil I didn’t know what to expect. I was completely unaware of the challenges and love were about to receive, this trip to Brazil only makes me want more. Love you Brazil!
Wonderful opportunity!
Interning abroad was one of the best decisions I have made. The program partnership was great, my internship placement was tailored to my educational background which gave me a great boost to my resume. Portuguese classes were educational and fun which helped immerse you into the culture.
The opportunity to spend the summer in Brazil was an incredible and positive experience. I would strongly encourage you to apply for this program and start making your own memories in the amazing country of Brazil.
I interned at a small IT-company for roughly 4 months in 2015. I must say I was very fortunate, as I got to work for an awesome company and had the best apartment & roommate one can find. The whole experience was simply Awesome. Almost surreal. Big thanks to all BE staff members 🙂
I had truly a great 3 months in Curitiba. Brewing beer for internship during week days and travelling around Brazil and enjoying local culture during weekends. […] My internship was also pretty laid back although very professional, allowing myself to influence on my own working schedule, which made it possible for myself to really take the most out of my time in Brazil.
I enjoyed my time here. I gained a lot of relevant work experience, but I also met a lot of very cool people, ate great food, and got to travel and visit some of the country’s most famous destinations.

Coming to Brazil in this project was one of the best decisions I’ve made, one month helping to make animals better, without a doubt, is the kind of mission I admire, as well as the hard work of all of you and the motivation so strong that you have to do it every day.

Thank you so much for the experience! Every day I learned something new! I loved working with different animals and I have a space in my heart for each one of them. The people who work here are very patient and nice. I’m going to miss Peppa, wake up to the sound of birds and live in a place surrounded by animals. I will remember this experience for the rest of my life and hope to be able to return soon
My experience during 3 months in Foz was amazing. […] Polo Iguazu was a great place to see different tourism companies and possibilities to work in social and sustainable tourism projects… the experience motivated me a lot for future plans and gave ideas. Als,o the team was really nice and helpful with everything! I would definitely go back if I get the chance!
I absolutely recommend volunteering and/or doing an internship with ELO. In such a short time, the staff became like family to me. It was such a great experience teaching the youth English and getting to know them, exchanging our cultures and making a difference.
